Book Club: Crazy Busy, Chapter 8

Welcome back to our Summer Book Club! We’ve loved digging into Crazy Busy with you. This week we tackle Chapter 8: “Rhythm and Blues” and wrestle with God’s commands to rest. You’re going to love your homework assignment (zzzzzzzzz)!

God’s Word mentions the concept of “sabbath,” a.k.a intentional, routine rest more than the subjects of purity, church, or the future. Perhaps it’s time we pay attention to verses like:

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy” (Ex. 20:8). And he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath” (Mark 2:27). So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God (Heb. 4:9).

Whatever else the “sabbath” means, it most certainly means to have a regular rhythm of rest in our lives. Do you? We’d love to hear how many hours of sleep you get per night and if there are ways you can rest more often. PS: Be sure to hop back on the blog next week and peek into chapter 9 with us. It’s a doozy!
