LIVE From Ft. Worth: “From the Mouth of Babes”

Have you ever seen anything like this before? This boy and girl may be young, but my friend—who was with them when they met to pray for the True Woman Conference attendees over a month ago—said,

Their child-like faith and passion was just the sweetest thing! You should have heard her pray: ‘Jesus, we love you, and please Jesus, bless the ladies that will come.’ This boy held his hands up really high praying a blessing over the place.

What a vivid picture of what this True Woman Movement is all about. Among other things, passing the baton of faith and truth to the next generation; and praying earnestly for an outpouring of God’s Spirit on our families, nation, churches, and world.

My prayer is that these children’s faith would be strengthened even more this weekend as they watch God respond to their prayers and move in an unusual, powerful way.

They’re not the only ones who are praying and expecting God to do mighty things this weekend! Twenty-seven men from around the country have traveled here to pray non-stop over the prayer cards that the women turn in—prayer cards scrawled with hopeless-sounding situations.

I thought of these women this morning as I was reading about some other women in Luke 24. These women were friends of Jesus, but they had just watched Him—wonderful, innocent Jesus—falsely accused, mocked, tortured, and crucified. Their raw, fragile emotions raged as they waited all Sabbath long before bringing spices to His tomb. When they finally arrived, His body was missing! They looked at each other with hopelessness, confusion, and betrayal . . . until two angels appeared and exclaimed, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!”

Because of this, on October 14, 2010, there is hope for you, me, and the over 3,700 women who will be attending the final True Woman ’10 Conference this weekend. The darkest situations are no longer hopeless because our God has triumphed over death and sin in order to cleanse us and bring us near to Him!
