We’ve been meeting the conference speakers this week, and we have just a few more introductions to make.
Meet Josh Davis
If you attended True Woman ’16, you may recognize worship leader Josh Davis. He’s the founder and executive director of Proskuneo Ministries, an organization that’s working alongside church congregations to share multicultural, multilingual worship.
Josh led much of the worship during our Cry Out! Simulcast, and we were blessed by his original song—the prayer event’s theme song— “Hearts Cry.” You can see Josh singing the song here, and you can also watch the Cry Out! attendees singing here.
Josh will lead worship at Revive ’17, and he often teaches lyrics in different languages. I hope you’re ready to not only learn something new, but to also embrace the stunning beauty of singing to our Father who created and loves every single tongue and nation.
Meet Carol Anderson Shores
Carol Anderson Shores is coming to Revive ’17 to fill a role we’ve never had at a conference before: She’s the drama artist!
Carol and her husband, Jim, founded Acts of Renewal, a ministry using theater to communicate God’s truth and to impact hearts for Him. Carol and Jim have performed at more than sixty colleges, and they also frequently perform at conferences, churches, and marriage retreats.
At Revive ’17, Carol and her team will perform original material written specifically for the conference. I’m excited to see how these dramatic performances will drive home the concepts we’ll study in the messages!
You can visit the Acts of Renewal Facebook Page to learn more about Carol and Jim.
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth
Of course, if you’re familiar with Revive Our Hearts, you know Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth! But just in case you haven’t heard, the Revive ’17 messages are based on Nancy’s new book, Adorned: Living Out the Beauty of the Gospel Together.
This book is excellent—and this is my own genuine recommendation, not just marketing language. I’ve read Adorned twice. My copy’s pages are marked with pink highlighter. It’s an in-depth study of Titus 2:3–5, and as women, we so need this message. I’m grateful for Nancy’s winsome way of communicating truth that may be hard for us to swallow—but it’s what God’s Word says.
For a glimpse into Nancy’s heart for this message and for a look into Revive ’17, you can watch the Adorned book trailer and the Revive ’17 promo video.
So as we prepare to hear Titus 2 messages from these Revive ’17 speakers, may God open our hearts to receive and apply His truth in our lives. May we be women who are ready to live out the beauty of the gospel together!
We’ll see you tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. EST! And I’d love to see you over on social media; you can share your photos and tweet message quotes with #Revive17Indy. Follow us on Twitter and Instagram for conference updates.
