Seasons of Serving (True Woman 201, part 6)

Early in my marriage, I resented my husband's opportunities to go "on the road" and minister to others. I felt staying at home meant missing out on the adventure of serving Christ. It took some time for the Holy Spirit to wake me up, not only to the responsibility of being a "keeper" in the home, but also the joy of it.

When I realized the high calling of biblical womanhood, all my priorities flip-flopped! I saw my work at home as a God-glorifying, people-serving ministry. Teaching my children became an adventure I relished, and I grew to respect and rejoice in my husband's position as the provider for our family. Later, in another season of life, I was blessed to serve God in a career while maintaining my homemaking responsibilities. I thank God for teaching me what really mattered.

In this True Woman 201 video, Nancy Leigh DeMoss and Mary Kassian address woman's distinct responsibility in the home.

Have you ever resented your responsibilities in the home? How might God want to change that?
