Melanie Wubs is a Technical Specialist with the International Health Unit of Samaritans Purse. She has worked with Samaritans Purse International Relief since 2017. Involved in multiple programs around the world, she has led assessments and rapid program startups in complex emergencies, conflict, refugee and migrant settings She has been the medical director of the Emergency Field Hospital in Mosul, Iraq; the Bahamas following Hurricane Dorian; Haiti after a deadly earthquake in 2021; and the New York City Respiratory Care Unit at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. She also served as the medical team lead in Ukraine last year. She is passionate about providing individualized compassionate care for underserved populations.
