“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near.” —Isaiah 55:6
What would you think if I told you that the Creator of the universe wants to have a relationship with you? His Word says that He does not hide from us. We can find Him when we look for Him, and He invites us to know Him more intimately through His Word.
Have you tried to cultivate your relationship with God? If there is a rewarding, uplifting, and necessary relationship for your personal life, this is it. God invites us to draw close to Him and promises that He will draw close to us in response (James 4:8).
There is no doubt that our busy schedules make it difficult to have regular encounters with God. But it’s an effort I encourage you to make. It’s a crucial habit in the life of a believer, not because we are going to “score points” or gain God’s approval or favor. Nor is it a habit that automatically makes us more spiritual. However, it is essential if we are to mature in our faith.
