[Joshua and Caleb] said to the entire Israelite community, “The land we passed through and explored is an extremely good land.” —Numbers 14:7
When the Israelites revolted against God, four men stood alone against the mob: Moses, Aaron, Caleb, and Joshua.
Then Moses and Aaron fell facedown in front of the whole assembly of the Israelite community. Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among those who scouted out the land, tore their clothes. (Num. 14:5–6)
Despite opposition, they would not be swayed from following the Lord.
Keep that in mind when you’re facing the giants, when you know that to move forward in the will or the ways of God is going to require some battle. Remember that the land where the Lord is taking you is extremely good. Don’t lose that perspective. If you do, you will cave in to fear.
No one among the Israelites questioned that the land was very good. All the spies agreed on that. But Joshua and Caleb were the ones who kept their focus and said, “God can enable us to go in and take the land.”
