You yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another. —Romans 15:14
The word knowledge in 2 Peter 1:5 has to do with the ability to practically apply the Word of God to real-life situations. It’s not just knowing God’s Word but using it as the basis to make life choices, to act wisely, and to be godly in every circumstance and situation of life.
All of us are in different circumstances and seasons of life. We have different struggles and difficulties. And we’re at different places of spiritual growth.
Do you know how to take the Word of God and apply it to your season and circumstances of life? Do you know how to use it to deal with the situations you’re dealing with? Can you use the Bible to minister not only to your own needs but also to the needs of others?
The believers that Paul was addressing in Romans 15 were not professional counselors. Yet Paul said they were able to instruct one another because they were filled with the knowledge of God’s Word practically applied to real-life situations.
Make it Personal
Ask God to help you grow in the knowledge of His Word and then be able to use that knowledge to minister to others.
