Be a Witness

We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. —Romans 8:28

“All things work together,” right? All His plans are working out His plan for us, “for the good of those who love God,” for the good of those “who are called according to his purpose” (Rom. 8:28). His rule in our hearts, resulting in our testimony. That’s why in Revelation we read of our brothers and sisters in Christ who overcame the power of the enemy—how?

By the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony;
for they did not love their lives
to the point of death. (Revelation 12:11)

Are these believers somehow different from you? Or me? No. Count yourself among them if you’ve believed on Christ for your salvation. And “rejoice” (v. 12)—yes, rejoice!—that He is daily equipping you through this Heaven rules boot camp of life to be an ongoing, overcoming witness to your God. Through it all. All the way home. What a testimony He is preparing you to deliver!
