“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” —Deuteronomy 31:8
King Xerxes could have any woman in the Persian Empire. But there was something about Esther that caused him to choose her to be his queen.
Ultimately, what made Esther stand out was God’s Providence. It was God favoring her. And what He did for her was part of a bigger plan—to give the world a Savior.
Similarly, what happens in your life isn’t discon- nected from God’s great, eternal plan. What is taking place in your life may have ramifications and implications centuries down the road.
Esther’s life blessed her kingdom in ways she never could have anticipated. Her presence on the throne of Persia shows that God was going before His people to provide for their circumstances ahead of time.
God knew what would happen with Esther— and He knows what will happen with you. Don’t stay up fretting, trying to figure it all out. God knows, cares, and has already provided for you!
