The king said to Daniel, “Your God is indeed God of gods, Lord of kings, and a revealer of mysteries.” —Daniel 2:47
Daniel was just sitting at home when Nebuchadnezzar ordered that all his wise men be killed. And yet the intrusion didn’t send Daniel reeling. Why? Because he viewed God as being in control of every circumstance. As a result, the morning that had started so badly ended with the pagan king of Babylon praising the God Daniel worshiped.
These unwelcome interruptions, detours, and trials are often God’s ticket to our testimony. They provide a platform for us to make much of our Father in the eyes of a watching world.
You and I will never lack for opportunities to share and live out our witness, demonstrating what’s different about a person who follows our God. The Lord will make sure of this, simply in the flow of His rule in your life. And if you’ll start each day already certain that you’ll give Him your worship when those difficult moments come, your testimony to your God will speak volumes. That can begin for you today.
