You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, Lord, do I seek.” —Psalm 27:8
What would you think about a couple who rarely spoke to each other? Would it be enough for them to talk to one another once a day or every other day?
If you only communicate sporadically with your mate, you’re not going to have a very close relationship. The same thing is true in our relationship with God. I’ve found that it’s impossible for me to cultivate an intimate relationship with God or to become the woman He wants me to be without spending daily time alone with Him. I cannot set aside time for God sporadically, whenever I’m able to squeeze Him into my schedule, and hope to enjoy a vital, growing friendship with Him. That isn’t possible in human relationships, and it’s not possible in our relationship with God.
Are you connecting with God every day? Would you commit to spend some time in God’s Word and in prayer every day for the next thirty days? At the end of thirty days your relationship with Him will show the difference.
