The priest Hilkiah, Ahikam, Achbor, Shaphan, and Asaiah went to the prophetess Huldah. . . . She said to them, “This is what the Lord God of Israel says.” —2 Kings 22:14–15
Several months ago I taught at a women’s leadership event where we delved into a biblical exploration of women whom God chose and empowered to lead. One of the women we talked about was Huldah the prophetess. Huldah is only mentioned in two places throughout Scripture—2 Kings and 2 Chronicles—but her role is crucial in how God redeems His people. Here’s my point: you don’t have to be well known or have your name drawn up in lights to be used mightily by God and found faithful to His call.
If you think your following, influence, or “platform” isn’t big enough to be used for God’s glory, then you are thinking wrongly. God doesn’t care about how famous you are; He cares about your faithfulness to Him. God has a track record of using the small and seemingly insignificant to accomplish great things for His glory!
