Hold on to His Word

February 22, 2024 Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. —Philippians 4:6 ESV

God’s Word is full of promises about His love and care for us. So, when the storms of life come, the best solution is to hold on to His Word.

Let it quiet your heart when people offend you, when others speak against you falsely, when there’s more on your to-do list than you can handle. When you don’t know what to do, ask God. Let your heart be quiet so you can hear Him speak.

Learn to quiet your heart in all circumstances. When your computer crashes or your drain backs up, quiet your heart according to the truth of God’s Word.

Quiet your heart in every season of life, whether single, married with children or longing for children, or with an empty nest. In job loss, financial pressure, and chronic pain, quiet your heart.

In every season and trial, we need to rest—not fretting, not stressing, but totally trusting in the Lord to provide what He knows we need.
