“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.” —2 Corinthians 12:9
I often say that anything that makes me need God is a blessing. And that’s something I’ve been saying more and more in the turbulent times in which we live. We are weak, but He is strong, and in our weakness we find His strength.
The Lord gives strength to His people, and He blesses His people with peace (Psalm 29:11). In the midst of the chaos of this world—in the flood, in the storm—God gives His people those two things.
Throughout the last several years, during the pandemic, during my husband’s battle with cancer, I’ve witnessed God’s ordering of our circumstances. Over and over again, I’ve seen His provision, His protection, and His presence. And in the unknowns, uncertainty, and craziness, I have experienced God’s peace.
How does God bless us with peace? As we saturate our minds and counsel our hearts with His Word, it will settle in like a warm comfortable blanket over our souls.
