As we have opportunity, let us work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith. —Galatians 6:10
Many people view “church” as a place to show up once a week. But Jesus intended His Church to be a family—a “household.” Not a place, but a people who live out the gospel daily. The many opportunities for kindness that exist within these relationships can provide a rich source of blessing that builds each other up.
Loyalty and kindness are meant to mark our relationships with fellow members of Christ’s Body. When we open our hearts in generous love and a spirit of kindness toward our fellow believers, we testify to the kindness we’ve received from God.
As you encounter other Christians, consider how you could extend kindness that goes deeper than “Hi, how’s it going?” hallway conversations. Because most people aren’t doing “fine, thanks.” Your gift of timely kindness—asking sincere questions, expressing interest in their life, offering practical assistance for a need they’re facing, or stopping to pray together—may be the means by which God ministers grace to them that day.

Make it Personal
Pray that God would provide opportunities this week for you to show kindness to fellow believers—and that you would act upon them!
