God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. —2 Corinthians 9:8
What is God’s grace? God’s grace is God’s resources: His strength, His power, His goodness, His light, all that He is. It’s His resources available to us, which are sufficient for every problem and situation that every child of God will ever face. There is never a lack or shortage.
Second Corinthians 9:8 is one of those all-encompassing verses in Scripture. I don’t think there’s a verse in the Bible that has more superlatives in it than this one—all grace; always having all sufficiency in all things; abundance for every good work.
Think of that circumstance or person that is your thorn today. This verse, which speaks of the abundance of God’s grace, applies to this situation and to every difficulty and trial that you’ll ever encounter. Whatever thorny path you’re on, God’s grace will enable you to endure. He will help you turn your thorn into something of significance.
