Do you ever feel that there’s never enough time in the day? Years ago, I read that the average woman today has the equivalent of fifty full-time servants in the form of modern, timesaving devices. Yet our lives are still more harried and hurried than ever.
We all have twenty-four hours every day—just like every human who’s ever lived. It’s the same number of hours Jesus had per day, and He had to accomplish the entire plan of redemption in three years. At the end of that time, Jesus prayed to His Father, “I have glorified you on the earth by completing the work you gave me to do” (John 17:4).
Jesus wasn’t concerned about what everybody else expected Him to do. He knew He had just enough time to finish what God gave Him to do. We have enough time to do the same thing.
Instead of being pushed and pulled to meet everyone’s expectations today, ask God to help you focus on His agenda. He’ll give you all the time you need.
