Uncertainty and Revival

November 4, 2024 Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth

Will you not revive us again so that your people may rejoice in you? —Psalm 85:6

Does it seem that every day brings more bad news about the economy and our world? Our hearts go out to those who are struggling financially or are looking at an uncertain future. In this climate, it’s no surprise that those who run for office are talking about the economy. We have a responsibility to choose leaders who will make wise financial choices.

But we need to remember that behind all the campaign promises and all the economic news, God is in control. The truth is that in times of abundance, we tend to forget God. But when we’re in need, our hearts are humbled and we cry out to Him.

So, we pray for God’s provision and thank Him when we receive it. We pray our next leaders will make wise decisions. But most importantly, we need to pray that in a time of uncertainty, people will recognize their spiritual need and come to God in repentance. Now is the time for us to join together in seeking Him for revival.

Make it Personal

Pray that the people of our nation would see their need for the Lord and that He would bring a revival to individual hearts.
