“The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me.” —John 15:5
Over the last several years, Christ’s words above have become clearer to me than ever. If we are in Christ, we must be immersed in His Word. We must live humbly before Him, repenting for our sin and asking Him to heal our land. Only sincere prayer can do this.
Multiple times throughout Scripture, we encounter a situation where God’s people cried out—and He heard them. Isn’t that amazing, that the Creator of all things inclines His ear and heart to hear the cry of His children? That’s something my mind sometimes cannot comprehend when in my sin and pride my heart is tempted to doubt His goodness. When by letting my heart get wrapped up in day-to-day things my hope begins to diminish and doubt if God is there to hear our cry.
I need to shout to God to see families changed, churches transformed, and nations that seek God. We want a generation that chooses to live for Him.

Make it Personal
Ask God to help you keep crying out to Him on behalf of your family, church, and nation, even when you get discouraged.
