Daily Reflections

Worth Any Price

When he appears, we will be like him because we will see him as he is. —1 John 3:2

You and I know that Christ and His gospel are exceedingly lovely. We know it’s an extraordinary privilege to belong to Him. We aspire to fulfill His calling for our lives. And we’re exceedingly grateful for those moments when we sense His nearness and revel in His presence.

But then there are the days when we feel more like earthbound plodders than heaven-bound pilgrims. When we lament our selfishness, sinfulness, stubbornness, and slowness to grow in these qualities we know to be pleasing to Him.

Yet we press on in our mission. We keep pursuing our calling to magnify Christ, and we persevere by faith with the grace we receive from Him each day. We know the challenges and hardships are deepening our oneness with the Savior and conforming us to His likeness. We believe it’s worth any price to put His beauty on display during our sojourn in this world. And we trust we will experience unending, unclouded joy when we see His face at the end of the race.
