9-1-1
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Imagine this: Your house is flooding. You’re trapped in the basement. You call 9-1-1, and things go from bad to worse.
Operator: I’m sorry, Ma’am. That sounds pretty bad, but we really hate having to get wet. We’re not going to send anyone at this time.
Nancy: How shocking and terrible would that be? But sometimes we act as if this is how God treats us.
Do you find yourself in a scary place, wondering if God really cares?
If you look to Scripture, you’ll find countless stories of God coming to the rescue of His beloved ones. In Exodus, the Lord came in the form of a great cloud to guide people of Israel to safety. In the New Testament, Jesus came from the perfection of heaven to seek and save the lost here on earth. And in the book of Acts, the Holy Spirit came to protect and enlighten believers.
God is the great Rescuer. He knows exactly what His children need, and His timing is perfect.
With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
