A Spectacle to Angels
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Do you like performing in front of an audience? In a sense, all of us are in front of an audience. As the apostle Paul says, we are a "spectacle" to angels as we live our lives, as we obey God, as we exercise faith, as we suffer sometimes for doing right.
I think of the book of Job. Job didn’t know the whole story. He didn’t know that God and Satan were watching him to see if he would worship God during his incredible suffering. In the middle of his ordeal, Job said, “Blessed be the name of the LORD.”
I can imagine at that moment the angels in heaven started to applaud. God had been vindicated.
Do you stay faithful to God even when you’re being criticized or experiencing things that just don’t make sense? Remember, God and the angels are watching. Your faithfulness under pressure will give them a reason to rejoice.
With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
