An Incredible View
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: I remember going out on a hike one morning years ago, while I was vacationing in the mountains of Wyoming. Fog was everywhere, and it was a pretty miserable day. But all of a sudden, after I had been trudging uphill for some time, my hike took me up above the fog. There I saw an incredible view of the Grand Teton Mountains that I hadn’t been able to see from below. It was as if those magnificent, snow-covered mountains had just burst forth out of the earth.
I think that’s a picture of what it’s like sometimes to study God’s Word. Hiking through Leviticus or Chronicles can seem strenuous. But when we press on to know God, He reveals Himself to us in amazing ways. Maybe your devotional time has felt like hiking through fog recently. Can I just encourage you to keep it up? If you’re faithfully getting to know God, sooner or later, you'll see some incredible views.
