Do My Attitudes Build Up?

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: The book of Proverbs tells us that a wise woman builds her house, but a foolish woman tears hers down. One way we can do that is in our attitudes. Listen to these Scriptures and think about whether your attitudes tend to build up or tear down.

Man: This is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands. (1 Pet. 3:5)

Nancy: We build our house by submitting to God-ordained authorities. We tear it down by resisting.

Man: [Love] always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Cor. 13:7)

Nancy: Do you build your house by loyally loving your husband? Or do you tear it down by being critical of him? Do you ever tear down your house by complaining about your possessions?

Man: Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have. (Heb. 13:5)

Nancy: Ask God to make you a wise woman who builds her house with godly attitudes.
