Don't Be a Foolish Woman
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: I received this email from a woman whose marriage seemed to be over.
Woman: I’ve emasculated my husband because of my selfish, arrogant, manipulative, intimidating ways and words. I’ve wounded my husband so badly.”
Nancy: She had heard me speak on the foolish woman described in Proverbs 7. It says, “She has cast down many wounded. . . . Her house is the way to hell, descending to the chambers of death.”
Each of us has acted like that foolish woman at times, and it would seem pretty hopeless—if it weren’t for the grace of God.
Woman: I see how wrong I’ve been. I’m trusting God to soften my hardened heart.”
Nancy: God mercifully brought that woman and her husband back together. No matter how badly you may have blown it, there’s always room to find forgiveness. You don’t have to be a foolish woman. If you’ve been bringing other people down, ask God to forgive you and change your heart.
