Excuses
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: We all have a choice to make today: We can take responsibility for our actions, or we can make excuses.
Woman 1: I really yelled at my kids, but it’s because our house is so tiny!
Nancy: God doesn’t call us to make excuses. Here’s what He does call us to, according to Romans 12: “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.”
Woman 2: Well, it’s just that time of the month.
Nancy: “Honor one another above yourselves.”
Woman 3: My job is so stressful!
Nancy: “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.”
Woman 4: I’m so exhausted. I can’t even function.
Nancy: "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Woman 5: It just runs in the family.
Nancy: "Do not repay evil for evil.”
Woman 6: My ex constantly puts me down!
Nancy: “Be careful to do what is right.”
Woman 7: “My parents never encouraged me.
Nancy: You can make excuses for your actions, or you can rely on God’s power and obey Him. Which one will you choose today?
