Finished
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Imagine walking through an elegant art museum carrying your paint brushes and paints with you.
Man: That's a nice painting. But I think it could use a little help.
Nancy: To add anything would ruin the art.

Nancy: To add anything would ruin the art.
Man: Maybe a little more green to the grass there . . . (alarm sounds)
Nancy: We wouldn’t think to change any of the paintings. They're finished masterpieces.
Yet how often do we try to add to Christ’s finished work on the cross? We think we can try harder, do more good works, or add something of our own effort to pay our debt. But through Jesus’ death, our debt has already been paid in full.
There’s absolutely nothing we can do to earn God’s love or forgiveness. Isn’t that freeing? If you are in Christ, there are no barriers between you and God. Through His sacrifice on the cross, “It is finished.” Don't try to add anything else to it.
With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
