Forgiveness: Don't Stop Short
Here’s Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth with counsel on choosing forgiveness.
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: While I was teaching on forgiveness one day, I was deeply moved when a woman got up and told how as a young girl she had been assaulted by three teenagers. For years she had carried anger and bitterness in her heart.
Kathy: I wanted revenge so bad, I honestly I think I could have killed.
Nancy: In front of that audience that day, Kathy did something extraordinary. She didn’t say, “Lord, help me learn to forgive.” She didn’t say, “I realize I need to forgive.” Instead, she went all the way.
Kathy: I forgive.
