God Doesn't Love Me
Woman: I haven’t heard from my children in months.
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: When we feel rejected by other people, we can fall for a lie.
Woman: Sometimes I even think God doesn’t love me.
Nancy: Most of us would never say it out loud, but have you ever doubted God’s love? If we dwell on the lie that says, “God doesn’t love me,” it’ll lead us into bondage.
The truth is that God does love you. Listen to what Paul says in Romans 5: “At just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. . . . God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (vv. 6–7).
If you’re ever tempted to doubt God’s love, the best place to look is at the cross of Christ. It’s the ultimate picture of true love. Not just for the world, but for you.
