Hindrances
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: I once asked some women about the time they spend in prayer and the Word of God. I love this woman’s response:
Woman: Well, I just have to make the choice to do it! I mean, do I really believe that spending time with God is as important as . . . eating? Then I have to choose to make that meeting with God a priority!
Nancy: You and I are faced with all kinds of choices today. And if we don’t have time to nurture a relationship with God through His Word and prayer, something’s wrong with our priorities.
The writer of Hebrews says, “Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Heb. 12:1).
Is there anything in your schedule that’s hindering you from running toward Christ? Anything that’s keeping you from spending time daily with the Lord?
With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
