Hot Mess

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: People often declare, “Nothing is impossible for God!” And while that’s 100% true, the phrase is used so flippantly, people scarcely believe it anymore.

Think of the most complicated, overwhelming thing in your life right now. Is it the pressure of a job? The fear of the future? A difficult spouse or child?

Now say the phrase out loud: “Nothing is impossible for God.” Ready? “Nothing is impossible for God!”

Did you know that by counseling yourself with truth like this, you’re training your heart to dispel lies? Our temptation is either to think that God can’t handle our mess, or that He doesn’t want to. But neither is true. Nothing is impossible and nothing too insignificant for God.

So invite Him into your mess. He can handle it. Be honest with God, repeat truth to yourself, and wait for Him to work miracles.
