Nancy: The world admires those who are self-confident, even boastful. But eventually pride leads us into isolation. Ultimately, pride is rebellion against God. That’s why revival is always preceded by God’s people humbling themselves.
What describes you better? Self-confident, ambitious, proud? or humble, broken, surrendered? Think about Jesus’ words in Luke 14: “Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted”
Humility is one important way we can be seeking Him.
