Seeking Him Podcast

Woman: Drugs, alcohol, adultery—you name it, I did it.

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Is it easy for you to recognize your sin . . . as sin?

Woman: I’ve raised my daughter differently. But I worry that because we’ve taught her to live right, she won’t know just how amazing it is to be forgiven for so much—like I was.

Nancy: When someone is immersed in church activities, they sometimes have trouble recognizing the truth—that their sin is truly detestable.

When we lose a sense of the seriousness of sin, we also lose a sense of the wonder of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. It’s easy to sit through one more sermon on God’s grace and be strangely unmoved.

If you grew up in the church as I did, would you ask God for a fresh look at His mercy? Not condemnation for sin that’s already been confessed, but a sense of the corruption of sin and the preciousness of God’s forgiveness.

With Seeking Him, I'm Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
