In the Morning
Woman 1: I used to wake up every day for devotions—until life got so busy!
Woman 2: I haven’t gotten up early to read the Bible in years.
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: It can be hard for busy moms to make time for the Lord first thing in the day. But the more I study the Word of God, the more convinced I am that we need to spend the first part of every day with Him.
Woman 3: “My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee” (Ps. 5:3).
Woman 4: “I cry to you for help, LORD; in the morning my prayer comes before you” (Ps. 88:13).
Woman 5: “Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn” (Ps. 57:8).
Woman 6: “I rise before dawn and cry for help” (Ps. 119:147).
Nancy: God is offering you an invitation. Would you ask Him to waken you tomorrow morning when He wants to meet with you?
Woman 7: “He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught” (Isa. 50:4).
