Intimate with God
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: As you develop a consistent devotional life, you become more intimate with your heavenly Father—kind of like Moses. In Exodus 24 we read about two different kinds of worshippers. The Lord invited the priests and seventy elders of Israel to “worship from afar.” The was privilege enough.
But their leader, Moses, came even closer to God. The Bible says that he spoke to God “face to face, as a man speaks with his friend.”
Are you like someone who’s never been on the mountain—never experienced God’s presence? Are you like one of the elders—seeing God, but keeping a safe distance away? Or are you like Moses—getting to know God deeply, like a friend?
Through the blood of Christ, God invites us to draw near to Him. What’s standing between you and true intimacy with God?
With Seeking Him, I'm Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
