Is God Enough?
Woman 1: I can face anything . . . as long as I’ve had my morning coffee first!
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Do you really believe that God is all you need?
Woman 2: When things got bad in my marriage, I started eating more and more.
Nancy: We’re tempted to try to fill the empty places in our hearts with food or family or friends, vacations, hobbies, or shopping.
Woman 3: I’ve always said that I rely on God. But when I feel pressure, I just want to go buy stuff.
Woman 4: When I can’t get what I want, I complain and criticize.
Nancy: The next time you feel pressure, instead of turning to these other things, would you turn to God? In the book of Romans, we find this amazing truth: “If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all—how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?”
