Lord, I'm Available
Woman 1: I don’t think I can put up with my husband any more.
Woman 2: I know my mom is sick, but there’s so much going on right now. I just don’t know how I can keep taking care of her.
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Do you feel like God’s asking you to do something that seems impossible?
God chose Mary of Nazareth to do something truly amazing—to carry His Son into the world, even though she was still a virgin. I love Mary’s response. She said, “I am the Lord’s servant. May it be to me as you have said.”
In other words, she was saying, “Lord, my body is yours. My life is Yours. I’m available.”
We’re called to say the same thing, in all kinds of situations.
Woman 1: Lord, my marriage is yours.
Woman 2: My time is yours.
Nancy: Whatever tough thing you’re facing, would you just say, “Lord, I am Your servant. May it be to me as You have said.”
With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
