Necessary Component
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Where do you think gratitude ranks on the list of Christian virtues? It seems like we often treat having a thankful attitude like it’s not in the same category as other, more important aspects of Christianity.
And yet . . .
Gratitude is far more significant than its lightweight reputation would suggest. What might appear to be a cute little cameo to go with our finer things is, in reality, a much more powerful and necessary component to our Christian life.
We can’t sustain persevering faith without gratitude. No matter what stage or season of life we’re in, we have to be diligent to thank God—in all things. We need to praise Him in the good times, and worship Him in the bad times because gratitude is fundamental to relationship with Him. So what are you thanking and praising God for today?
