Party of One

Man: Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Simeon was different. He was a man of integrity and devotion. He had a long-term, living hope in God. He was filled with the Holy Spirit. And he didn’t just go through the ritual of religion like many of the people around him—he had genuine faith and a deep-seated love for God.

Like Simeon, our lives can be different, not because we’re spiritually superior, but because we’re looking towards the only hope that’s worth waiting for. His name is Jesus.
