Teach Us to Pray
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Do you ever feel like you just don’t know how to pray? In His model prayer, Jesus instructed His disciples to start by turning their eyes to their Father in heaven, and saying, “Hallowed be Your name.” We can pray the same thing.
Woman: Lord, may Your name be worshiped and honored by people everywhere.
Man: Lord, help me to bring honor to Your name today.
Nancy: Then He said, “Your kingdom come.”
Man: God, I pray that Your kingdom would come throughout the whole world.
Woman: I want You and You alone to rule in my heart today.
Nancy: Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Woman: You can have Your way in my life today, Lord. I want You on the throne.
Man: Lord, help me see what You are doing today.
Nancy: If you’re not in the habit of praying this way, take some time to meditate on the first three petitions in the Lord’s Prayer: hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done.
