Providence
Woman: So . . . what are you thinking about?
Man: I’m pondering the intricacies of Providence and its implications for our earthly pilgrimage.
Woman: For real?
Nancy: We don’t usually talk that way, do we? The concept of Providence isn’t discussed very often, but it’s an important word and idea. So, what does it mean?
“Providence” comes from two Latin words: pro, which means “before,” and a second word which means “to see.” Think of “video.” In essence, then, “providence” means “to see before.”
You see, God goes before us. He sees everything before it happens, and He makes provision for whatever we will need at that point. Embracing that truth should give us great peace, comfort, and hope!
As you face unknown situations today, you can trust the God who sees everything and who has promised to provide exactly what you need.
