Reasonable Service
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: To be honest, there are times when I feel like something God is asking of me is unreasonable.
Leslie: This is Seeking Him, with Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
Nancy: It may be listening to a needy friend after a long day of ministry or spending most of my weekend working on new messages.
Whatever it is, I have to go back to the words of Paul in Romans Chapter 12: “I urge you . . . in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices . . . this is your reasonable act of worship.”
The Greek word translated "reasonable" is where we get our word "logical." Because God has given so much, it’s only logical that we should surrender ourselves to Him. When you feel like God’s call is unreasonable, remember Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. When you think about what He’s given, it will inspire you to give as well.
With Seeking Him, I'm Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
