Rich in Mercy

Woman: I don’t like to even think about those arguments . . . it’s behind me.

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Are you willing to forgive . . . everybody?

Woman: There’s no way I could forgive the things he said.

Nancy: Sometimes forgiveness seems impossible—until we realize what the Bible says about God’s forgiveness.

Woman: “God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions” (Eph. 2:4–5).

Nancy: Thinking about how much God’s forgiven us will change the way we view other people’s sin.

Woman: “I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins” (Isa. 43:25). 

Nancy: Spend some time thinking about how much your sin has offended God and the incredible forgiveness He offers. It will make it easier to forgive those who have sinned against you.
