Singleness Is a Gift
Woman: I know God’s given me a lot, and I really appreciate everything He’s given me, but. . . . If there was one thing in the entire world that I would want, it’s a husband, and He just seems to be withholding that from me.
Leslie: This is Seeking Him with Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: The apostle Paul talks to singles in First Corinthians 7:7 and says, “Each has his own gift from God.” In other words, marriage is a gift that can be used for God’s glory, and so is singleness.
You see, happiness isn’t found in or out of marriage. In fact, it’s not found in any human relationship. True joy can only be found in Christ.
God has promised to give us everything we need. If He knows a husband would make it possible for you to bring Him greater glory, then He’ll provide a husband. True contentment comes when we choose to be satisfied with what God has provided.
With Seeking Him, I'm Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
