Son of God
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Some people don’t realize that Jesus is more than just a good teacher who lived long ago—a lot more.
Did you know that the New Testament refers to Jesus as the “Son of God” forty-seven times? God the Father declared Him to be His beloved Son. Even demons recognized Him as the Son of God.
This name for Christ, “Son of God,” is vitally important because, as Hebrews says, “He is . . . the exact imprint of [God’s] nature.” That means Jesus shares every attribute of God the Father equally.
Through the Son we can know the will of God, the mind of God, and the heart of God, and it’s all possible because Jesus perfectly trusted and obeyed His Father’s will.
Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God? Do you delight to follow the Father’s will as Jesus did?
With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
