Speak the Truth
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Are you an honest person? Be honest now.
Man: Hey, Sam, can you clock me out at five? I’ve got to leave early, but I need the hours.
Nancy: Are you deceiving anyone about anything?
Woman: Don’t tell my husband we just spent the whole day at the mall. He doesn’t know I had a day off.
Nancy: Are you trying to leave a better impression of yourself than is honestly true?
Woman 2: I cannot wait for my friends to see this new car! They don’t know I can’t afford it. But that’s okay; they’ll still be impressed!
Nancy: Are you more concerned about what others think of you than what God knows to be true?
Woman 3: I was reading the Bible this morning—I do it about an hour a day—and it was such a meaningful time.
Nancy: Remember what Paul says in Ephesians 4:25: “Therefore, each of you should put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body.”
