Stir It Up
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Are you ever a source of temptation to those around you?
Woman: My husband feels convicted about doing work around the house on Sundays. But when I need something done, I have my ways of making it happen.
Nancy: You know, as women, we have a lot of influence. Maybe that’s why Satan targeted the woman with his lies back in the Garden of Eden. She influenced her husband to sin, and generations to follow were affected.
As women, we’re still bombarded with the enemy’s lies. They come in everything from magazines and movies to counselors and friends. When we act on the lies, we influence other people to act on them, too, and we continue the deception.
But if we fill our minds with the Word of God and act on His truth, we’ll do just the opposite. As the writer of Hebrews tells us, we need to “consider how to stir up one another to love and good works” (10:24).
Think about your relationships. What are you stirring up?
With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
