Teach Me Your Paths
Woman: I try to read the Bible, but I get so confused with all the 'begats' and 'begots!'
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: If you have trouble understanding God’s Word, I have a simple suggestion. Ask Him for help!
Leslie Basham: This is Seeking Him, with Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
Nancy: Before reading the Bible, I often say a prayer taken from Psalm 25:
“Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me.”
A.W. Tozer said that “the Bible is a supernatural book and it can be understood only by supernatural aid.”
The good news is the Author Himself is available to help you understand what He wrote. Jesus told His disciples that He would send the Holy Spirit to teach them and lead them in all truth. If you’re a disciple, that means the Holy Spirit will help you when you sit down to study the Bible.
Ask Him to show you His truth.
With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
