The Angels Rejoice
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Every time we repent of our sin, there’s a celebration in heaven. Jesus said, “There is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
The angels are thrilled because God is being exalted. His will is being done on earth as it is in heaven.
That means the angels rejoiced in 1963 when, as a small girl, I repented of my sin and trusted Jesus to be my Savior.
I think the angels continue to rejoice every time I repent. For instance, when I don’t control my tongue and the Lord convicts me, I believe the angels rejoice when I confess my sin.
Once we confess our sins for the first time, we need to live in a continuing lifestyle of repentance. Would you ask God to show you any sin in your life? And remember, you can give the angels a reason to celebrate today.
